It is the low carbon structural steel or low alloy structural steel strip according to a certain spiral Angle (called the forming Angle) rolled into a pipe billet, and then the pipe seam is welded together. It can be made of larger diameter steel pipes with narrower strip steel. The specifications are indicated by the outer diameter, wall thickness, and the welded pipe should ensure that the hydraulic test, weld tensile strength and cold bending performance all meet the requirements.

SSAW steel pipe is a spiral seam pipe made of strip coil, regular temperature extrusion molding, and automatic double wire and double embedded arc welding process. The spiral steel pipe will put the strip steel into the pipe fittings, through multi-roll rolling, strip steel roll up, forming a round seam opening, adjust the squeeze roll volume to reduce, the weld gap control in 1 ~ 3mm, and make the both ends of the weld flush.

A spiral-welded pipe is formed by twisting strips of metal into a spiral shape, similar to a barber's pole, and then welding where the edges join one another to form a seam.
